There are several ways to enjoy perfectly clean glass with minimal effort. The seemingly simple choice of cleaning method also depends on several factors, such as the size and surface area of the panes, accessibility to the cleaned areas, and of course the level of dirt. Taking these factors into account, you can choose the most effective method for you.

Squeegee or robot

It is worth supporting your efforts with professional equipment. To avoid streaks after washing windows, water or cleaning solution can be removed with a special glass squeegee. By removing excess water, it leaves the surface perfectly dry and clean. A robot, on the other hand, automatically cleans the dirty surface using dry or lightly dampened cloths attached to its rotating pads. Using either of these two devices significantly reduces cleaning time.

Good detergent

To avoid streaks, you can also use commercially available window cleaning detergents. They are usually sold in convenient spray bottles, and you can choose both more eco-friendly products as well as standard alcohol-based cleaners. In this case, particular attention should be paid mainly to the wiping stage of the cleaning process.

To achieve a perfect result, it is worth using long-known, traditional solutions. To avoid streaks, you can use vinegar or lemon juice when cleaning windows. Vinegar should be mixed with water in a 1:9 ratio. In the case of lemon, 4 tablespoons of juice are enough for 3 litres of water. Another interesting and equally effective solution is using warm water with a few drops of dishwashing liquid. In all cases, it is enough to finish by polishing the glass with a clean microfiber cloth or a good-quality paper towel. A rather unusual method may be the use of a black-and-white newspaper. However, printing ink helps achieve perfect clarity.

Proper weather conditions

Even the best cleaning products and techniques can be ruined by weather conditions. To avoid streaks, windows should be washed when they are not exposed to direct sunlight and when the temperature is moderate. Both high heat and sunlight falling directly on the glass cause water or cleaning products to dry too quickly. On the other hand, if it is freezing outside, there is a high risk that the detergent will smear instead of cleaning properly.
